Chapter 107 Chapter 107 Stephanie couldn't be bothered to deal with him and turned to leave.

94% But Chris grabbed her wrist again, his head still throbbing from her earlier smack. She didn't hold back at all-his brain felt like it was rattling around in his skull.

Stephanie glanced at him, raising a brow. "Seriously?" Right then, Chris's eyes caught the redness and swelling on her lip...

And the faint glimpse of bruises along the edge of her scarf.

His mind went blank for a second before exploding.

Without thinking, he yanked off her scarf, and there they were-several hickeys, right there for him to see.

His breathing turned ragged. "You and those guys-" He couldn't even finish the sentence. He didn't need to. As a grown man, he knew exactly what those marks meant.

No one knew how badly these past few days had eaten at him. Every the pictured her with someone else, it felt like he was losing his mind.

He kept telling himself she was just acting out, trying to piss him off.

But now? There was no talking himself out of this.

Stephanie gave him a look like he was a total idiot. "What the hell's wrong with you?" 'We were talking about Olivia, and now you're dragging my boyfriend into this? Who do you think you are?' She tried to yank her wrist free, but Chris held on tight.

Annoyed, Stephanie lifted her leg and kicked him hard in the stomach-right as a loud thud echoed from the side.

Chris let out a muffled grunt and instantly loosened his grip on Stephanie's wrist.

Sebastian stood there, hands in his pockets, eyes ice-cold as they locked onto Chris. Clutching his stomach, Chris looked up, face twisted in pain.

That kick? It cfrom both of them.

It felt like his guts were rearranged.

"You... you..." Chris glared at her, gasping for air.

Stephanie ignored him and turned to Sebastian. "What are you doing here?" "When did your fighting skills get so sloppy?" Sebastian took off his coat and wrapped it around her.

'It's freezing, and she dressed like this?' The cold scent clinging to his coat mixed with a faint warmth that Stephanie couldn't help but lean into.

1/4 93% Chapter 107 Chris's face turned even darker at the comment about her sloppy skills.

What kind of woman fights like this? Stephanie fought like she was raised in a war zone.

Stephanie pouted. "I handled it fine. You just showed up early" Sebastian grabbed her hand, casting one last icy glance at Chris, who was still doubled over.

Chris was breathing hard, sweat pouring down his forehead from the pain, glaring at Stephanie. "You owea damn explanation!" Before Stephanie could even react, Sebastian let go of her and strode toward Chris, every step radiating danger. Chris instinctively stepped back but couldn't move fast enough- Sebastian's kick sent him sprawling face-first onto the ground. Chris swore he heard a sickening crack.

If his fractured hand wasn't fully healed, it sure wasn't now.

Before he could even push himself up, Sebastian's boot landed square on his back, pinning him down.

"You son of a bitch." Chris was furious.

No one had ever humiliated him like this in Long Harbor.

From a distance, Kevin saw what was happening and ran over.

Even Stephanie felt her heart race seeing Sebastian like this.

For a second, a bloody memory flashed through her mind-so vivid it made her think someone might actually die right here, right now.

Sebastian's voice was cold as ice. "You think messing with her is fun?" Chris gritted his teeth. "If you're so tough, letgo." Sebastian's foot pressed down harder. "You can't even get up from under my foot. What exactly are you gonna do once I let you go?" Chris's chest heaved with anger, and he glared at Stephanie. "Stephanie, tell your boyfriend to back off!" Stephanie crossed her arms, sneering. "If you've got the guts, get up yourself." Still running his mouth at a tlike this? Did the guy have a death wish? Chris was boiling with rage-and humiliation.

The pain was bad enough, but the humiliation made Chris want to rip Stephanie and that guy apart.

Kevin wanted to step in, but one look at Sebastian's aura and he froze.

Instead, he threw Stephanie pleading looks, hoping she'd help.

She ignored him completely.

2/4 Chapter 107 Kevin was so anxious, cold sweat ran down his back.

Desperate, Chris turned his head and demanded, "Who the hell are you?" A guy this ruthless-how had Chris never heard of him before? Sebastian didn't answer. He just shifted his foot, and with a sharp crack, Chris groaned in pain.

Sweat poured down his face.

"I swear to God, I'll kill you! And you, Stephanie! You're dead too!* That threat only made Sebastian's smile turn even darker. The second Chris said he wanted Stephanie dead, the warmth in Sebastian's eyes vanished.

"You really think you're walking out of here alive?" As he spoke, his hand moved to his waist.

Kevin's breath caught in his throat. When he saw what Sebastian was pulling out, his whole body went cold.

Even the air seemed sharper, like the wind itself could cut.

Just as it looked like Chris was done for, Stephanie strolled over and grabbed Sebastian's wrist. "Sebastian." His gaze flicked to her, still ice-cold. "Feeling sorry for him?".

"Not worth it," she said flatly.

And just to make her point, she stepped down hard on Chris's injured hand.

Chris let out a pained hiss, more pathetic than ever.

Stephanie slipped the weapon out of Sebastian's hand. “Let's go." She didn't care about Chris one bit.

What mattered was keeping Sebastian out of unnecessary trouble.

If anything happened to Chris here, it would create a massive headache-and with FredAshford's position in Long Harbor, the fallout would be a mess. Stephanie always put Sebastian first.

Sebastian held her gaze for a moment, eyes unreadable, but in the end, he let her take the weapon.

Like a raging beast instantly tamed.

He gave Chris one last icy glare before stepping off him and walking away with Stephanie.

Chris lay there, drained and shaking.

It wasn't until their car disappeared down the road that he finally let Kevin help him up.

"What the hell was that guy holding?" Even now, just thinking about it sent a chill down Chris's spine.

In a place like Long Harbor, that guy dared to act so recklessly. Who the hell was he? 3/4 30 Sat, 8 Mär Chapter 107 Kevin nodded. "Yeah, that's the thing."

He'd caught a clear glimpse of the man's eyes earlier-there was nothing but danger in them, the kind that cfrom completely losing control.

If Stephanie hadn't stepped in, Kevin was sure Chris wouldn't have made it out alive.

And the fact that guy carried something like that around? Just showed how dangerous he really was.

Chris's chest heaved with anger. "You're tellingwe still don't know who that guy is?" Kevin frowned. "He seems familiar, but I can't place him." He tried to dig through his memory, but nothing clicked.

As for the man's background... Whatever forces were behind him had completely blocked any trace of him.

That alone said plenty. This wasn't someone ordinary.

Chris winced sharply. "Damn it-getto the hospital, now." His hand hurt like hell. At this point, he couldn't even move it. Meanwhile, in Sebastian's car-

Stephanie quietly put the item back. at his waist, then glanced at him. "You done with business in Long Harbor?" Sebastian took her cold little hand, rubbing swarmth into it. "Why?" "I miss Mom and Sofia." 4/4 AD Comment mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofifl0&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
