quickly. | felt as though | had just left Whaldorf City, but | had been away for more than two months now.
| lowered my head and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm back in the country."
| believed he must have been very worried when we met abroad. We were in such a dangerous situation and |
was taken away by Milan before we had tto say a word to each other.

"| want to see you." The man's voice sounded somewhat restrained. | could feel his emotions through the phone.
| had not heard such words in a long tand could not help but feel a little touched.
"Theo." | took a deep breath. "I'm really fine."
Initially, | wanted to tell him to try and live his own life, but | knew that he would get mad if | said that.
"I'm not fine at all."
His voice sounded a little low with a hint of urgency and repressed emotions. "Wanda, there's a banishment limit

to wait here for you, but you can't keep drivingaway like this. | refuse to face these lonely nights and rely
solely on memories. | want to see you. | want to see you now."
| was momentarily dazed. This was my first thearing Theo confess his feelings forwithout a single
reservation.
If he were in front ofnow, | figured | would hold him tight and tell him that | missed him very much too.
| lowered my head and held back my tears. "I'm really happy that you're taking good care of Munchkin."
| changed the subject, afraid that | would lose control o f myself and tell him how much | missed him. | was afraid
that my presence would bring chaos to his life again.
He should be living a complete life with his wife and son, but | did not have the ability to give him a complete
marriage because | could not give him children. Leaving was the best option.
"Wanda Lane!"
Theo finally snapped. "Is this a punishment for me? If yes, then tellwhat I'm supposed to do for you to come
back?"
| was stunned, suddenly not knowing what to say.

Even | disliked myself!
When | returned to Hommiton City, Jordan had returned from his business trip as well.
He did not know that | had applied for a leave, so when | arrived at the company and appeared in front o f him,
he said a little angrily, "I need an explanation, Wanda.”
His brows were tightly furrowed, and unhappiness was written all over his face.
