Chapter 84 After work, I returned hwith Selena. Since she insisted on others supporting her project, she took charge of the preparations.
As her assistant, I was responsible for doing basic market research and contacting the partner company. While it seemed straightforward, it was much more challenging than expected. Having been away from work for over a month, the sudden intensity was overwhelming for me.

I thought you didn't want to talk toanymore. I called multiple times, but you didn't pick up at all." After Sylvia mentioned this, I realized she had indeed calledseveral times. Since I was at work, my phone was on silent, and I only noticed her call when the screen lit up. "I just got off work. I missed your call because my phone was on silent. I'm sorry. Please don't be upset." Sylvia snorted. Then, she happily shared her experiences from today. I enjoyed her animated storytelling, but the unexpected arrival of Selena dimmed the mood.
I was taken aback when Selena suddenly appeared before me. Realizing there was still sdistance between us, I swiftly ended the call. She stood there, her hair damp.
I frowned and quickly messaged Sylvia. "There's a meeting I need to attend. Go to bed early." "Selena, why are you here suddenly?" I asked after setting my phone aside.
She smiled at me, though she seemed confused. "I just wanted to remind you that it's tfor a shower, Hud. It's getting late. We should rest early tonight since we have a busy day ahead at the company tomorrow." I acknowledged with a nod and made my way upstairs.
After my shower, I found Selena sitting on my bed with a hair dryer in hand, deep in thought. She smiled as she showedthe hair dryer. "Hud, could you doa favor and blow dry my hair? You mentioned that if I go to bed with wet hair, I might get a migraine." "But..." I was about to ask why she couldn't just blow-dry her own hair.
Observing Selena's facial expression and recalling her illness, I found myself unable to reject her. Instead, I took the hair dryer from her hand and dried her hair.

I usually didn't pay much attention to investments, especially since I m worked with experienced executives from large companies. Even with a low success rate, their strong finances reduced risks.
However, the small company Selena was partnering with this time, m seemed unpredictable. Seeing her Seems, i felt I enthusiasm, I felt I couldn't turn her down.
"This isn't the end, so I won't rush to any conclusions just yet. But I believe in you. If you stay dedicated and put in the hard work, the results will follow in due time."
