Chapter 44 Even though Andy spoke with impatience, I couldn't help but agree with her logic. Watching the tension between the two of them, I felt no joy in the unfolding. It was just noisy. So, I decided to interrupt their exchange. "Actually, you could givethe documents, and I'll pass them on to Selena. She's resting right now, so it's best not to disturb her. If you have anything to discuss with her, just tell me, and I'll relay the message," I said.

I looked at Andy and made an effort to appear polite.

"Who are you? What's your connection to Selena?" Andy asked, her expression filled with confusion.

"Hello, I'm Selena's husband, Hudson Davenport." Although I was reluctant, I had to clarify my relationship with Selena in front of her.

"So you're Selena's husband, the president of Advanced Technology?" Andy seemed surprised, scrutinizingfor a moment before turning to Zion as if to confirm my identity.

Zion was visibly annoyed but chose to turn away from me, remaining silent. However, sometimes silence spoke volumes, which meant he acknowledged my status.

"Your title as president means you must have scapability. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at this contract and see if there are any issues." With that, she handedthe briefcase.

I opened it to find a stack of documents filled with dense text.

Seeing her handthe files didn't please Zion. He continued to wear a scowl as he watched us.

After she finished explaining, Zion issued an immediate dismissal. "Since someone is handling the contract, you can go back now." Hearing this, Andy snorted dismissively. "Whether I leave or not is none of your business. Zion, if you can't handle it, just deal with it. Just because you're silent doesn't mean people think you're mute." With that, she beckonedto follow her. I glanced back at Zion but ultimately decided to accompany her. Once we were away from him, Andy scrutinizedclosely, clapping her hands in appreciation.

"I have to say that Selena has good taste. You're handsome, in great shape, and quite capable. It's a mystery why she would choose that pretty boy, Zion. I really don't understand what's so appealing about him that she would let someone like you go." Realizing what she had just said, her expression suddenly shifted to one of panic, and she hurriedly added, "Don't getwrong. I'm just speaking casually. There's nothing to it."

I understood why she was flustered. She probably assumed I was unaware of Selena's affair with Zion and feared she might accidentally reveal something that could harm my relationship with her. However, they seemed to be oblivious to the fact that I was already in the midst of a divorce process with Selena. "You don't need to worry. I've known for a while," I said to Andy, calmly explaining without mentioning my plans for divorce.

"Wait, did you just say you've known all along?" I nodded, reluctantly confirming her assumption. Andy looked taken aback, her expression a mix of surprise and intrigue.

Perhaps she was amazed at my composure. Knowing my wife was owing my wife was with someone else and still managing to stay calm must have been unexpected for her.

But I couldn't exactly tell her I had already submitted my application for divorce. Sthings were best kept private, and this was one of them.
