Chapter 190:

Stella cried outside the diagnosis room, not knowing how many years it had been since she last cried like that.

Her screams were ear-piercing, but RK remained silent. Her sharp cries pierced through him, amplifying his worry

for Adrian, his son.

“I am sorry, it's my fault!” All the mixed feelings crystallized into those words that touched Stella's heart. He

pulled her into his arms, her hot tears staining his shirt. The rapid beat of his heart made her grit her teeth.

Choking on sobs, she cursed him in a hoarse voice, “If anything happens to my son, | will curse you for the rest

of your life! You will be damned for all eternity!”

She gnashed her teeth. He listened and hugged her tightly, his voice hoarse. “He'll be fine. | am here! He will be

fine!”

The two of them embraced each other. Stella’s mental collapse frightened Alia. The little girl trembled, worried

about what might happen to Adrian. She squatted on the floor, hugging herself tightly.

She wasn't afraid of being blamed by her father, but she was terrified of anything bad happening to Adrian.

When the doctor finally cout of the diagnosis room, Stella quickly walked over and grabbed his arm. Her

grip was strong, surprising the doctor with her sudden movement. However, as a doctor, he was used to such

situations.

He calmly informed them, “The child is fine, but he needs to rest. There are many injuries on his body, but they

are not serious. The main concern is that his leg fracture is a bit troublesome.

The dislocation is considerable, and we need to set a plate. This will help align the fracture for better healing. He

will be sent to the orthopedics department for a CT scan.”

As he spoke, a nurse pushed Adrian out. Stella followed closely, with RK and Alia behind her. His emotions were

complicated, and Alia didn’t dare to say a word. She wrinkled her little face, looking terrible.

Once again, outside the door, Stella vented all her anger on RK. “Did you hear what the doctor said? His leg is

broken. How did you let this happen? You killed him! Do you think | will be grateful to you just because you saved

him?”

“Calm down!” RK retorted.

“Calm down? How can | calm down? Yes, my son is the one injured, not yours. Of course, you tellto calm

down. Since Adrian was a baby, he has never broken anything, and | have never let him get hurt!”

Stella gritted her teeth, unable to finish her sentence. She sobbed uncontrollably, crying bitterly.

When she heard the sharp ringtone of her phone, she picked it up with a choked voice. “Hello, | am Stella.”

“Stella, what's wrong? Why are you crying? What happened?”

Standing outside her company, Tristan frowned deeply. Stella's cries made him feel helpless. He quickly

comforted her. “Don’t cry. Where are you? | will cfind you.”

“In the city hospital. Adrian’s leg was fractured, and he is getting a CT scan.” Stella couldn't help but cry. Her

dark eyes were red from tears.

“Wait for me. | will be there soon. Don’t be afraid. It will be fine as long as | am there!”

As soon as the phone hung up, Stella cried so hard that her entire body trembled. Adrian was just a young child,

obedient and sensible since he was little.

However, she didn’t know how much psychological trauma he would suffer from the serious incidents that had

happened recently, nor from the situation at hand.

She feared she would never forget the feeling of Adrian’s trembling body in her arms; he was so scared that his

whole body shook.

When Tristan arrived at the hospital, he quickly learned what had happened from Stella. Standing protectively in

front of her, Tristan coldly glared at RK.

“RK, could you still be so indifferent if it were Alia undergoing a CT scan instead of Adrian? You are so biased. Is

this fair to Adrian? Just like that, do you deserve to be a father?

Do you still want to compete with Stella for custody of Adrian? You should completely give up that idea. No judge

would grant custody to a father like you.” His stern words caught RK'’s attention, especially when that damned

woman was hiding behind him.

Seeing RK remain silent, Tristan pressed on, “RK, let's have a chat in private.”

His words fully irritated RK. The man’s bloodthirsty eyes fell on him, and he sneered. “Let's talk? Who do you

think you are? | am not your patient!”

“Let's talk about Stella and Adrian!”

“Who are you to them? What right do you have to talk to me?”

RK glared at Tristan angrily, wanting to punch him. The matter between him and his ex-wife had nothing to do

with an outsider like Tristan.

If it weren't for Alia’s presence, he would have certainly punched Tristan to settle the matter the old-fashioned

way.

“Enough!” Stella's voice sounded strained, as if she had exhausted all her strength.

Stella looked at them just as the doctor emerged. Wearing a white coat, the middle-aged man frowned and

announced the result, “Is this the family member of the child? Get ready to sign for the operation. The child's leg

is fractured, and surgery must be performed as soon as possible.”

“I am his mother!” Stella sobbed, shaking. Listening to the doctor's words, she felt as if her legs were turning to

jelly.

RK and Tristan didn’t follow her. Their hearts were filled with mixed emotions. Tristan, being a doctor, understood

very well what those words meant.

After the operation, even the adults would struggle to bear it, let alone Adrian, who was just a child. “Take good

care of your child!”

“Alia already knows she was wrong!” RK insisted, believing that Alia hadn't acted on purpose. He knew she could

be a little arrogant, but his daughter was kind-hearted and didn’t mean to hurt anyone.

If she had known how things would turn out, RK believed that Alia would never have pushed Adrian in the first

place.
