Chapter 410 Seline's heart fluttered slightly as she looked at Sirius standing before her with an exceptional posture. She quickly extended her arm to shake hands with him.
She greeted him, "Nice to meet you. I'm Seline Yates, manager of the design department at Yates Corporation." When she looked askance at Suzanne, her eyes glistened with arrogance.
It was as if she was saying, "See this? This is the benefit of holding a position. I'd be perceived to have much greater value in public." This made Suzanne stifle a laugh. To her, Seline was the best at being a clown and an actress.
Disregarding Seline, Suzanne turned around and took a glass of wine from the wait staff. Coldly, she said, "Please excuse me." After that, she walked toward a couch in a corner.
Sirius could feel that Suzanne wasn't too keen on speaking with him. So, he was quick-witted enough to recognize that he should not continue pestering her.
He turned his head and took a brief glance at Seline. Without responding to her, he spun around and left. Clearly, he was only interested in getting to know Suzanne while Seline meant nothing to him.

Suzanne was such a tramp. The moment she left, these men left too. Seline cussed silently, "You bitch! Just you wait. I'll see if you can still be so smug in a bit!" Suzanne got to a couch in a corner and bent down to sit down while holding onto a glass of red wine. Her posture reflected her elegance and relaxedness.
Even though she was sitting in a dim corner, everyone still had their focus on her. No one could compare to the radiance she had around her.
Linora Shaw, dressed in an elegant, strapless dress, strutted toward Suzanne. With a friendly smile on her youthful face, she greeted Suzanne in a soft tone, "I've heard lots about you. It's my honor to meet you today." Suzanne knew who this woman was. She was Chester Shaw's only daughter and the heiress to the Shaw family. In the past, Chester expressed publicly that he was bringing up Linora to bechis heiress.
As such, most people in their circles respected Linora. Though, that was also because she was capable enough to garner the respect of others.
Suzanne raised the glass in her hand. Curling her lips into a slight smile, she replied, "It's my honor to meet you too." Linora stepped forward, then sat down elegantly next to Suzanne. She chatted casually with her, "I didn't think that you'd be a miracle doctor at such a young age, Ms. Yates. That's amazing." The Shaw family was in the pharmaceutical business. They monopolized most of the industry, both modern and alternative medicine, in the country. Thus, Suzanne had a rough idea about why Linora was here to speak with her, even though she did not show it.
With a warm smile on her face, Suzanne replied, "You're too kind, Ms. Shaw." Linora scrutinized Suzanne discreetly. Suzanne was a sharp woman, so Linora decided not to test her anymore. Instead, she talked to Suzanne about the recent happenings.
While they interacted with one another, they would let out joyful laughs from tto time.
This was an eyesore to Seline.
She was right in the middle of the hustle and bustle in the living room where the party was. Yet no one was willing to interact with her.
She was clearly Jenson's girlfriend. Shouldn't these people be curious and ask her about it? With people treating her so horribly, she couldn't take it anymore. Her gaze went cold as she picked up the determination not to make things easy for Suzanne.
A kind smile spread across her face. She walked toward Suzanne, saying, "Sue Then, she let out a shriek.
Shocked expressions cacross the faces of those around. They shouted, "Dr. Smith!" Seline stumbled after walking into the corner of a table. She lost her balance and fell toward Suzanne uncontrollably. The wine in her. hands spilled all over Suzanne's classy white dress, staining the expensive and elegant dress with patches of red wine.
It was such a messy and embarrassing sight.

Suzanne just had a little bit of wine spill on her. Yet all these people were concerned about her. What right did Suzanne have to deserve such treatment? Seline had clearly just gone up to these people to start a conversation with them, but they all ignored her. She clenched her hands into tight fists by her side. Holding back the burning rage within her, she scrambled up from the couch.
As she looked into Suzanne's eyes, tears flowed down her cheeks. "I'm sorry, Sue. I'll take you to get that cleaned." She stepped forward, ignoring whether or not she had hurt herself from the fall. Instead, she looked at Suzanne with absolute worry in her eyes.
Suzanne pushed Seline away calmly. In an icy voice, she refused, "It's alright." Feeling utterly annoyed, she continued in a firm voice, "If you're going to be so clumsy next time, just splash the drink right on me." Seline froze. THis bitch was truly not holding back when it cto humiliating her.
She balled her hands into fists as she felt the judgmental gazes from m everyone else around. She couldn't leave this be. She had to save herself from this embarrassment.
With tears glistening in her eyes, Seline said in a miserable voice, "Sue, I know N you're in a unique situation right now, that you're not fond of me. But so you shouldn't be losing your temper."
While saying that, she stepped m forward to try linking arms with Suzanne. Nevertheless, a vicious gleam flashed across her eyes the moment she lowered her head. As it happened, Suzanne noticed it. A mocking glint flickered in Suzanne's eyes. It seemed like Seline was about to play another dirty trick. Suzanne didn't mind playing along with Seline this time.
She stopped herself from pushing Seline away and simply allowed Seline to help her out. Pretending to be mad, she said, "Fine. Bringto get myself cleaned up."
