"No, nothing at all...” Heidi's tone was unusually tender as she made her way over to the bed and cautiously sat down on the edge. She moved closer, draping her arm over mine and resting her hand on my chest. "I'm just feeling a little uneasy and couldn't sleep. I wanted to be with you... Caden, tomorrow is our engagement day, and I'm so happy." As she spoke, her hand traced slow circles over my chest, her fingers brushing lightly over my shirt. She was intentionally trying to undo the buttons.

As long as I could marry Caden, I didn't mind whether it was early or late, just as long as it happened.
