Chapter 351 Escaping Death Rosaline's POV: +8 Pearls At the foot of Everburn Hill's cliff, towering trees loomed overhead, their leafy canopies blocking sunlight from reaching the forest floor, which was blanketed in lush grass. Yet, one area stood out-a chaotic mix of snapped branches, knotted weeds, and crumpled leaves disrupted the natural order.

A pained groan slipped from my lips as I jolted awake from a disturbing dream.

My eyes fluttered open, and I glanced around, disoriented.

Shadowy foliage surrounded me, the thick undergrowth buzzing with the distant cries of unfamiliar creatures.

Pressing my hands to my forehead, I focused as fragmented memories gradually pieced themselves back together.

The memories crushing back-Candice had taken Yura as a hostage, forcedinto a deadly standoff with a bomb, and then leaped off the cliff, draggingdown with her.

At the brink of death, Caden had thrown himself afterwithout a second thought.

Somewhere in the freefall, my terror overwhelmed me, and I blacked out.

Yet one thing remained clear-Caden's arms had been wrapped around me, holdingclose.

But how had I managed to survive a fall from such a height? And Caden? Panic surged throughas I frantically scanned my surroundings, only to find him lying motionless beside me. Scratches from broken branches had left his face streaked with blood, his legs were twisted, and his complexion was ghostly pale. His eyes remained shut, his entire body soaked in blood-a sight that sent a chill down my spine.

Dread settled heavily in my chest.

Meanwhile, I had escaped with nothing more than a few minor cuts.

Because Caden had shieldedwith his body.

But his injuries were severe! Shoving down the panic clawing at my chest, I scrambled to his side and gave him a gentle push. "Ca can you hear me?" My voice wavered despite my efforts to stay calm.

There was no reaction. Not even the slightest movement.

Heart pounding, I leaned in and carefully inspected his wounds.

His injuries were grave-there wasn't a single part of him left untouched, and the multiple fractures only.

I understood better than anyone how critical his condition was.

"Caden, wake up!" 1 lightly patted his face, hoping to st him, but the moment my fingers brushed his skin, a wave of heat met my touch.

My heart clenched. No.....

He was burning up.

The countless wounds on his body must have becinfected, sending him into a fever-and possibly even tetanus If the rescue team didn't arrive soon, Caden would miss his chance at proper treatment! A crushing sense of urgency overwhelmed me. He wouldn't be in this condition if it weren't for me.

I had medical knowledge, but out here, at the base of the mountain, with nothing but dense jungle around us, I couldn't even find the most basic herbs to stop his bleeding "Caden, stay with me!" I clasped his fevered hand tightly, helplessness unlike anything I'd ever known swallowingwhole.

Memories surged through my mind, crashing overlike an unstoppable wave.

Through the warehouse explosion, the plane crash, and the treacherous encounter at sea, Caden had shieldedover and over, his voice steady and unwavering-"Rosaline, don't be afraid. I'm here." And now, once again, the heir to the Eclipse Pack had thrown himself into danger without hesitation, risking everything to keepsafe.

In that split second when I plunged off the cliff, I finally saw my heart clearly once more.

I love him.

So deeply, so desperately...

Which is why I can't let anything happen to him.

I have to save him! Determined, I pushed myself to my feet-only for a chilling realization to hit me. The bomb! It was strapped to me! But something was off, why hadn't it detonated? still Carefully, I stepped aside and glanced down at the bomb strapped to me.

Was it... fake? Hesitantly, I reached out and unfastened it.

Nothing happened. No ticking, no explosion-nothing It had no lethal power at all.

2/3 09:28 Tue, Mar 25 B BB Chapter 351 Escaping Death Thinking back to Candice's expression earlier, she must have genuinely believed it was real.

So... had she unknowingly gotten her hands on a counterfeit device? +8 Pearls The thought leftmomentarily speechless, but there was no tto dwell on it. Right now, my priority. was waking Caden.

I scanned my surroundings, but aside from a few vines draped around us, there was nothing else of use.

It wasn't hard to piece together what had happened-we must have gotten tangled in the vines during the fall, O slowing our descent bit by bit. That was the only reason we had survived such a deadly drop. The Moon Goddess must have been watching over us. Our luck was truly something.

With no herbs in sight, I had no choice but to tear strips from my inner clothes make shines using them as makeshift bandages to wrap Caden's wounds and slow the bleeding. But his condition was deteriorating. I had to get him to a hospital-fast! I lifted my gaze to the towering

mountain above-2,6 feet of sheer rock, its peak hidden beneath a dense canopy of trees All C dense me, nothing but emptiness and silence stretched endlessly. "Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me?" I called out, my voice cutting through the stillness. Only my echo answered back.

Everburn Hill was already an abandoned place, and the base of this cliff was even more isolated-few, if any, ever ventured this deep.

Biting down on my lip, I lowered my eyes to Caden's unconscious form. A tight, suffocating ache gripped, my chest.

I couldn't just stay here and do nothing-I had to find a way to get Caden out of this place immediately! 916 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
