Chapter 0724
It turned out the man hadn't died at all-Claude hid him away from the world.
This revelation painted Claude in a slightly less villainous light.
Perhaps he wasn't entirely heartless, still holding on to ssemblance of brotherly affection.
But if Claude had hidden him, then who managed to find him?
Whoever it was must have known Claude intimately; otherwise, it would have been impossible to discover that
someone presumed dead for years was actually alive.
Suzy wracked her brain, trying to think of anyone who might know Claude better than she did. The only name
that cto mind was Charlotte.
Charlotte was Claude's partner in crfor years, privy to almost everything about him. But she was long dead.
Could she have set all of this in motion before her death?
It seemed like the most plausible explanation.
If that were true, then whoever was orchestrating this now was still tied to Charlotte.
The mother-son duo with the last nManson, along with Zack Barker, had all been dealt with.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAlmost everyone connected to Charlotte was uncovered.
But was there someone Suzy had overlooked?
She thought hard but couldn't pinpoint anyone.
Still, knowing the link to Charlotte made things a bit clearer.
Calling Allen into the room, Suzy gave a direct order. "Go through everyone connected to Charlotte again. Leave
no stone unturned."
Allen nodded. "Already on it. The moment we realized the man was Claude's brother, | sent people to investigate
further."
Suzy felt a pang of guilt. "Allen, I'm sorry. You're the one Riley really needs right now, yet | keep burdening you
with everything else..."
Allen waved her off before she could finish. "If you keep talking like that, you can stop calling for me. Find
someone else next time.
"You're my boss. If | don't help you, who will? Besides, until we clear all of this up, none of us will get a moment's
peace."
Suzy let out a cold laugh. "Exactly. Until we flush out that rat, none of us can rest easy."
No matter who was behind this, Suzy was determined to find them, even if it meant turning over every stone in
the world. Only then could everyone finally live in peace.
But peace was never so easily attained, especially not for her.
Even at home, with the little troublemaker under the sroof, a peaceful day felt like an impossible dream.
Her "living" father was insistent on marrying that fake Charlotte, causing a scene almost every day.
Suzy was so busy these past few days that she hadn't been back to the Hillside Villa, but that didn't stop his
relentless phone calls.
To get speace and quiet, she often chose not to answer.
What she didn't expect was that her refusal to pick up a few calls would lead him to threaten suicide.
When she received a call from one of the house staff, saying that Timothy was talking about ending his life, Suzy
dropped everything and rushed back to the Hillside Villa.

"Dad, I've already told you, I'm busy right now Can we discuss this later,
after | get through this hectic
period?" Suzy's voice was laced with exhaustion. She was emotionally drained.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Busy, busy, busy! All you ever are is busy!" Timothy shouted, his tone accusatory.
"Don't think | don't know what you're up to, Suzy You just don't wantto marry Charlotte! If that's how you
feel, let's just cut ties altogether. That way, you won't have to worry aboutor what | do anymore!"
Cut ties...
The father and daughter were in the middle of a heated argument when the fake Charlotte entered the room.
She approached Suzy with a calculated expression and said, "Suzy, we didn't want to pressure you like this,

Her hand moved to rest on her flat stomach.
"I'm pregnant."
