plausible hiding spots. He had vanished.

She silently berated her miscalculation.
As she turned to leave, a sharp voice echoed from above. "Who are you? When did you get into my room-"
The voice cut off abruptly, leaving an ominous silence.

Inside the room, a woman stood wrapped in a bath towel, her face pale with fright. She let out a startled scream

The woman couldn't fathom why strangers kept showing up to terrify her that night.
Suzy strode toward the woman.
"Was there someone in your room just now?" Suzy asked directly.
The woman stammered, "N-no one!"

He had stormed into her room moments ago and, without a word, grabbed her by the throat.
She had barely escaped being strangled to death!
Caught between fear and indecision, the woman hesitated for a long moment before deciding to play dead.
Letting out a faint groan, she tically collapsed to the floor. The impact hurt like hell, and she nearly cried
out from the pain in her backside.
But compared to whatever these people might do to her, this was nothing. Suzy saw right through her little act,
her sharp gaze giving away her disbelief. Forget it," she thought, sighing inwardly.
The woman had clearly been through enough tonight. Being cornered in the middle of the night by two strangers
was bad enough without Suzy adding to her misery.
Glancing around the room, Suzy's eyes locked onto the bathroom.
The woman was still wrapped in her towel, with droplets of water trailing down her skin and her hair visibly wet.
That meant when the man had barged in, she must have been mid- bath.
Narrowing her eyes, Suzy strode toward the bathroom and kicked the door open without hesitation.
The bathroom was small, and she took in everything at a
glance.
No one was there.
Her attention shifted to the window, and when she walked over to check, she spotted him.
