think it's possible she swapped out the blood samples?"
"Unlikely," Dylan replied. "If she did, why would she still be so adamant about keepingout of this? If she'd
already tampered with the samples, she wouldn't need to worry about my involvement."
"Maybe it's all just part of an act," Suzy countered, still skeptical. "If you could get your hands on Evangeline's
blood, then it's not impossible that she could too."
"So, you're convinced there's a blood connection between you and Evangeline?"
"Not exactly," Suzy admitted. "But | can't shake the feeling that the woman has a reason for forcingto kill
Evangeline. And on top of that, Evangeline looks so much like my mother-it's hard to ignore."
She let out a self-deprecating laugh. "Maybe I'm just overthinking it. As for whether that woman is actually
Helena, I'll have Allen discreetly investigate her grave. He's skilled in disguise and has the tools to collect a
sample without opening the coffin."
Suzy had been hesitant to suggest it before, worried about alerting the enemy. But after weighing her options,

After all that, he'd kept her on the line just to say that?

Setting her phone down, she smirked and muttered to herself, "Bastard-let's see if that doesn't drive you crazy!"
After ending the call, Suzy went over the entire situation in her mind again, piecing everything together carefully.
Pressing her lips into a thin line, she pulled up her mother's records on her phone.
Both her mother's background and Evangeline's origins matched the previous investigations-there was nothing
suspicious at all.
So, it was entirely possible that she really was overthinking things. The woman might have been forcing her to
