The woman ended the call abruptly, and when Suzy tried calling back, the number was already disconnected.

Allen was right-the woman was deliberately forcing Suzy into an impossible situation.
Frowning slightly, Suzy said to Allen, "Evangeline resembles my mother. At first, | thought it was just a
coincidence, but her repeated attempts to pushmakesuspect there's sconnection between
Evangeline and me.
"I plan to visit Evangeline's residence again to investigate. As for Riley, she should be safe for now. That woman
hasn't achieved her goal yet, so don't worry too much."
"Not worry? How could | not?" Allen thought.

feelings changed?"
It wasn't her place to meddle in their personal matters, but after all the hardships Riley had endured, Suzy
couldn't help but hope the two of them would figure things out sooner rather than later.
