Jessy’s POV:
| watched as Lila furiously typed on her phone from the couch in front of me. She had been in a bad mood since |
cback and | was surprised because | had been expecting her to be in a pleasant mood from spending the
night with her boyfriend. The thought didn’t exactly makehappy but | had been expecting it, but since | got
back from my run she had been moody and was continually tapping away at her phone screen.
“Are you okay?” | asked and when she raised her head to look at me, it was easy to see the anger in her eyes.
“Yes. Why?” She asked and | shifted uncomfortably in my seat.
“Well, for one you've been really quiet for a while now and then you've been typing quite furiously on your
phone. Are you okay?”
Lila sighed heavily and she dropped her phone just beside her to turn to face me. Offeringa small smile
which | returned before she spoke.
“I'm really sorry about my attitude. I've just been really upset.” She revealed.
“Do you want to talk about it?” | asked although | knew that I really didn’t want to.
| could already guess what the problem would be about and | knew it wasn’t really something | was willing to talk
about but | wasn’t going to be a bad friend for my interests.

I laughed loudly at her antics, blushing to the tip of my toes at her words. | hadn't realized | had been smiling so
wide when | had cinto the house but maybe | was just excited to be addressed normally for once. There was
no judgment or fear in Stephan’s eyes when he had spoken to me, there was just a pleasantness. | couldn't
remember the last tthat had happened to me.
“Oou sounds really good already if it’s taking so long to answer. Are you guys going on a date?” Lila asked
clapping excitedly.
“What? No! He's just going to showaround the pack.”
“Really now? Well let's get you ready to see around the pack shall we?” Lila said mischievously and | laughed
loudly at the way she sounded.
“Fine, but it really isn’t a big deal,” | responded.
Moving towards my room to the sound of Lila’s laughter.
To be honest, | was giddy. | couldn't tell why, maybe it was because things were finally starting to look like it
made sense. The knot in my stomach was getting easier to deal with and | felt really happy.
It was ten minutes later and we were making our way out of the house, with the rablasting with music and
Lila singing off-tune. | didn’t complain though, it was simple things like this that | enjoyed the most.
Soon we were pulling into a Mall. It wasn’t very big and it had fewer people than | would have expected but the
environment was really beautiful.
“We're here! Need to get you sreally beautiful stuff because no offense, I've been through your closet and |
almost cried. You have more jeans than a boy! And has anyone ever told you about dresses? Girl!” Lila teased
and | laughed loudly as we stepped out of the car.
“Con, you know I'm more comfortable in jeans.”
