Her expression remained impassive as she instructed, "You just need to do your part. Once you succeed, you'll get your end of the deal." After the call ended, Sierra turned and realized that Theo was staring at her. Quickly adjusting her hair, she said with a smile, "You should dig in." Instead of asking her questions, he merely replied, "You can tellif you need any help. I'm more than happy to help my wife out." Sierra's hand froze momentarily before she smiled. "Alright." After finishing their meal, Theo returned to his study. The first thing he did was instruct Adrian to look into what William had been involved in lately.
The next afternoon, Adrian walked into Theo's office with a complicated expression.
"Mr. Gray, William has recently found himself a very 'special' investment schthat promises him high returns with zero risks..." After hearing the adjectives Adrian had used, Theo looked up from his laptop. Then, he asked, "Are you pulling my leg?" Did William think that investments were equivalent to putting his money into the bank? How could there be profits without any risk? After working within the business industry for so long, he had never seen such a nice deal.
"Cut to the chase. Who set him up?" Theo had realized that William was incompetent and stupid a long tago, so he wasn't too surprised.
Adrian opened his mouth. Then, he took out his phone, explaining, "There's this man, Johnny Clark, who claims to have family ties with someone connected to that foreign company's upper management. He claimed that the company is looking for investors to help them enter the domestic market." Spreading his hands, Theo frowned. "And he just believed the guy? Did he not even bother to investigate further?"
Adrian nodded, his tone slightly complicated. "Johnny had prepared svery detailed documents that talled were actually fake. Mr. Shaw had asked around before quickly agreeing to invest in the project. "The two of them even had a meal together yesterday."

On the other hand, Theo was not the slightest bit surprised by Adrian's revelation. In fact, he was pleasantly impressed. "She's smart. She managed to cover all of her bases." Looking up and seeing the weird expression on Adrian's face, Theo picked up his coffee and chuckled.
"Sierra did not use her tears when she helped Benson manage his company. She had relied on her strength and capabilities instead."
