Chapter 278 Pajamas Watching Madison causing a commotion, Sierra struggled to keep up, so she didn't refuse Theo's help.

Once Madison was settled, she finally breathed a sigh of relief and looked at him with gratitude. "You should go to sleep first. I'll stay with her tonight." Theo frowned and glanced at Madison. "She'll sleep better alone. And you've been drinking-I don't feel comfortable leaving you here." Sierra hesitated, looking at Madison sprawled out on the bed like a starfish.

"Ah!" Before she could decide where to sleep, her feet suddenly left the ground, and she let out a startled yelp.

Theo had scooped her up and carried her out of the guest room, casually shutting the door behind him. "Go wash up first. We'll talk about tonight later." Sierra froze mid-struggle, then shrank into his embrace like a quiet, little quail.

As soon as he gently placed her on the bed, she bolted into the bathroom like a startled rabbit.

In her rush, she forgot to grab her pajamas. After finishing her shower, she hesitated for a long tbefore calling out, "Theo, are you there?" Theo, who had been working on his laptop, heard her voice and looked puzzled. He got up and walked over to the bathroom door. "Sierra?" She took a deep breath and expressed softly, "I forgot my pajamas." He chuckled before he simply responded, "Wait there." Then, he headed to the walk-in closet.

After a whole day of shopping and a few drinks, she lightheaded from the warmth of the bathroom.

"Open the door." Theo's voice cfrom outside.

She cracked the door open just enough to slip an arm through.

His gaze flickered as he saw the slender, bare arm, and his ears turned slightly red.

The moment she got the clothes, she quickly pulled her arm back and shut the door again.

"Thanks." Just as Theo was about to turn away, a soft voice cfrom inside.

About ten minutes later, Sierra emerged from the bathroom, her damp hair dripping as she dragged her feet. Hearing her footsteps, he glanced up and frowned. "Why didn't you dry your hair?" Sierra looked exhausted as she shook her head. "I didn't feel like it." Without a word, he got up and walked into the bathroom. She thought he was going to wash up, but he returned moments later with a hair dryer in hand.

"Chere." He plugged in the hair dryer and gestured for her to sit.

Since he was already prepared, she didn't argue and obediently sat in front of him.

The hum of the hair dryer filled the room. His fingers gently massaged her scalp as he worked, his touch so careful as if he were afraid of hurting her.

She slowly closed her eyes, feeling drowsy. Just before she drifted off, one thought crossed her mind-Theo was really gentle.

When her hair was dry, he didn't bring up the nightclub incident. Instead, he scooped her up and tucked her into bed. Turning off his laptop, he lay down beside her, and with a practiced motion, pulled her into his arms.

The night passed dreamlessly.

Madison woke up in an unfamiliar room, startled as she sat up. Holding eyes her throbbing head, she shut her for a moment before slowly adjusting to the pain. "Where am I? Where's Sierra?" Looking around, she quickly realized she wasn't in a hotel. She climbed out of bed in confusion.

Noticing that her outfit was no longer the party dress from last night, she hurriedly checked herself. After m confirming nothing was out of place, she tugged at the unfamiliar pajamas, trying to recall how she had left the nightclub. She stumbled out of the room groggily, feeling a little unsettled by the unfamiliar surroundings.

Just then, the door to the adjacent room opened.

Sierra walked out with a blank expression-clearly still half-asleep.

However, what shocked Madison the most was the man following behind her...

"Theo? What are you doing here?"
