Ava was driving when she saw it was Lukas's call. She was startled at first and then immediately reached out her
right hand to nudge Reese into the passenger seat, "Reese, it's Lukas' phone number!"
Reese, who had been a bit on edge about Lukas for the past three days of silence, had no reaction at first. She
almost started to believe that Ava was trying to trick her.
However, when the light turned red, Ava handed her the phone and watched as Reese's grievances immediately

She turned her head thoughtfully and continued to drive with a blank expression on her face.

Lukas felt a deep sadness in his heart as he replied, "Baby, I'm so sorry | couldn't be there sooner.
Reese quickly wiped away her tears, though her voice remained choked with sobs, "No, | wish you could come
back safely!"
Lukas just wanted to rush over to Reese. He asked, "Baby, where are you right now?"
When Reese heard what Lukas said, he suddenly beceven sadder, "I'm going to the hospital now!"
Lukas' tone suddenly bectense, "Why are you going to the hospital? Are you injured?"
Hearing Lukas's unabashed concern, Reese pursed her lips in sorrow, "I'm not hurt, I... Something happened to
was kidnapped by Walter while trying to get to the hospital because of a previous argument she had with Walter.
