Ariana turned and walked downstairs.
“Emily, follow her,” Brian ordered.

Ariana turned on her heels and stomped away. But Brian grabbed her arm and snarled, “I’ve told you! You're
nothing if you're not my fiancée. I'm giving you another chance. Will you choose to remain the powerless
daughter of the Torrey family, or will you becmy fiancee again?”
“Mr. Lodge, aren't you too full of yourself?” Ariana shook off his hand, her eyes filled with disdain. “I couldn't care
less about being your fiancée and would rather be bullied. But don’t act high-and-mighty. Who knows who'll
have the last laugh?”
With that, Ariana left the hospital.
Brian felt a surge of anger at her departure. He threw the medicine to the ground in frustration.
Emily quickly tried to calm him. “Mr. Lodge, Ms. Torrey was just speaking out of anger. Please don’t take it to
heart!”
“Fine. I'll make Ariana understand she’s nothing without the!” Brian swore.
Outside the hospital, Ariana reached the street. Earlier, the academic advisor had driven her to the hospital. But
now that Brian had rendered the academic advisor useless, she was left to hail a cab.
